Thanks for the list of congregational changes.

It is a little depressing for my neck of the woods, with three branches being discontinued (two Spanish-speaking branches in Maryland Baltimore Coordination Council stakes and one YSA branch in a Virginia Richmond Coordination Council stake).

Meanwhile, my ward with less than 500 members of record continues to have well over 300 in Sacrament Meeting, continuing to engender rumors of a pending split, now that the stake has a 7th meeting house and room to accommodate a few more units. My guess is the 11 wards and 3 branches in the stake could become 13-14 wards and 2 branches in 2 stakes in the near future.

Things definitely seem to be moving in a better direction in the west than the east, but it's hard to know for sure with the closure of specialty (YSA and spanish) branches. The reasons can be varied, but don't necessarily reflect poor attendance or anything like that.

To Mike Johnson: Could you explain the definition of "Coordination Council stakes?" I'm unfamiliar with this term. Also curious where you live. Your ward's church attendance is very good! That only happens here when there's a missionary farewell, Primary Program, etc. Thank you.

To Mike Johnson; Sorry, when I said "here" I should have said Holladay, Salt Lake County .
